Which is a darn good thing considering the weather we’ve been having. THE HEAT sees Sandra Bullock as an FBI agent paired with Melissa McCarthy’s cop. And guess what! They’re absolutely nothing alike. This may sound like a bit of a disaster, I mean, who on Earth could see these two forming a beneficial working relationship? But don’t judge too quickly, as that is precisely the point. The chalk and cheese dynamic is being played for comedy. From Paul Feig, the director of BRIDESMAIDS, the humour looks broad but sometimes successful. Best of all is Biff Tannen himself, Tom Wilson, as McCarthy’s boss, who happens to have ‘tiny girl balls’.
THE HEAT hits cinemas on 5th April 2013. It stars Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy, Tom Wilson, and Michael Rapaport.
