Magical First French Trailer For Michel Gondry’s ‘Mood Indigo’

MoodIndigo-FLphotosMGFullbig04

I’m a big fan of Michel Gondry’s work, his inventiveness and surrealism twists perfectly into stories of love, loss and intriguingly they still end up being a part of realism. Whereas some directly end up being pretentious *coughs Malick*, I always believe the playful side of this director makes for a refreshing outcome, every time.

Back in June of last year, we had a first look behind-the-scenes at MOOD INDIGO (L’Ecume des jours) and now we’ve got the first French trailer (with English subtitles) for the film starring beauty Audrey Tautou, alongside Romain Duris, Omar Sy, Gad Elmaleh and Alain Chabat. Based on the novel L’Ecume des jours by Boris Vian, the film is about Chloe (Tautou), who suffers from an unusual illness caused by a flower growing in her lungs, and the only way to save her – is to surround her with flowers all the time. Of course, things can’t always be perfect…but these trailer is a thing of curiosity:

MOOD INDIGO is set for a French release date of April 24th, with a few other European dates confirmed, we’ll have to wait in the UK and USA for the moment!
