It appears everybody wants to be part of Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s prequel, SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. A who’s who of acting talent has signed up to form the main cast of the duo’s adaptation of Miller’s own acclaimed graphic novel. Following the recent confirmation that Bruce Willis will don that crossed-scar once again as the heroic cop Hartigan, the only major casting we’ve been waiting of is that of the aforementioned ‘Dame’.

Now both Rodriguez and Miller have confirmed CASINO ROYALE’s heartbreaker Eva Green will be the lady worth killing for:

We’ve been wanting to tell this story for a very long time. Ava Lord is one of the most deadly and fascinating residents of Sin City. From the start, we knew that the actor would need to be able to embody the multifaceted characteristics of this femme fatale and we found that in Eva Green. We are ecstatic that Eva is joining us.

Another actress also joining the currently shooting crime-thriller is THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER’s Julia Garner, who is set to play a stripper in a segment opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s new character Johnny.

SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR will see the likes of Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson and Jaime King all return, alongside new cast members Josh Brolin, Dennis Haysbert, Christopher Meloni, Jeremy Piven, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta and Juno Temple. It hits cinemas on the 4th October.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
