Okay, so it isn’t that spectacular. I was just trying to force in a reference to the popular soundtrack in an attempt at humour. In reality, the poster just depicts Tom Cruise in front of a couple of jets. However, just seeing the words TOP GUN, IMAX, and 3D all together on a single image is enough to get me as excited. Unfortunately we are also receiving word that the film may cause civil unrest around the globe as the 3D IMAX version is only scheduled for the US so far, and even there it’s only getting 6 days of release. How is anyone supposed to see the film 100 times in 6 days? I’ll never understand the policies of the US.
TOP GUN will be rereleased in IMAX cinemas in the US on 8th February until the 13th February. It stars Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Kelly McGillis, Meg Ryan, Michael Ironside, Tom Skerrit, and Tim Robbins.
