New Images Of Edgar Wright’s ‘The World’s End’

This year will the close of Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto/Blood & Ice-Cream trilogy with THE WORLD’S END. Following on from his other comedy genre benders SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ. The film sees a group of men attempting a legendary pub crawl they once failed at, which sees them having to visit 12 pubs in total, finishing at THE WORLD’S END. We have two new stills to show, courtesy of Empire, along with some words from the film’s star and co-writer, Simon Pegg:

It’s a much bigger proposition than the other two films. When you’ve seen the film, you’ll be able to relate each pub name to what happens inside.

Those pub names are as follows; The First Post, The Old Familiar, The Famous Cock, The Cross Hands, The Good Companions, The Trusty Servant, The Two Headed Dog, The Mermaid, The Beehive, The Hole In The Wall, The World’s End.

The Famous Cock and The Hole In The Wall may be cause for raised eyebrows, but all will be revealed soon. Not being a real fan of Wright I’m not that excited just yet, and all interest I do have is because after this he will hopefully turn his full attention to ANT-MAN.

THE WORLD’S END will be released 14th August in the UK and 25th October in the US. It stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan, and Rosamund Pike.
