While I’m not much of a fan of Vin Diesel’s high-powered franchise, THE FAST & THE FURIOUS, I do love his flawed, serial-killing antihero Richard B. Riddick. Well, the first film, PITCH BLACK, is easily the big man’s finest ever performance, and one he notoriously returned to with mixed results in 2004s, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK.
This year will see Diesel return to both franchises and we have new stills from FAST & FURIOUS 6, in which his Dominic Toretto unites his gang, together with Dwayne Johnson’s agent, in an effort to thwart Luke Evans’ international villain. We also have a new image from sci-fi sequel (and simply-titled) RIDDICK, with the ruthless, sight-adjusted psycho reuniting with director David Twohy for a third time.
FAST & FURIOUS 6 screeches into cinemas on the 24th May, while RIDDICK lands 6th September.
