Branagh is currently on a career high thanks to his handling of Marvel’s THOR, so hopefully he can add that little Shakespearean twang to the tale of a shoe losing peasant. Cate Blanchett is attached as the evil stepmother, but the role of Cinderella is wide open with Saoirse Ronan, Gabrielle Wilde and Alicia Vikander being eyed for the part.
