Here’s a bunch of posters you probably wont be seeing on your local bus shelter. It’s a collection of 14 character posters from Lars von Trier’s upcoming NYMPHOMANIAC. Each poster has an actor going starkers and apparently in the middle of sexual elation. The posters certainly catch the attention, and some of the actors aren’t at their most flattering, but it will certainly cause controversy among the more conservative groups. Lars von Trier is obviously no stranger to controversial publicity and these posters range from striking to comedic.
NYMPHOMANIAC follows the life of Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg), who recounts her sexual escapades to a man who helps her after she is found badly beaten in an alley. No doubt it wont be the easiest watch, but the mixture of A-list talent and unsimulated sex is certainly an alluring cocktail. The Stellan Skarsgard poster is going straight up on my wall. Maybe even above my bed.
NYMPHOMANIAC is yet to receive US and UK release dates. It stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, Stacy Martin, Christian Slater, Jamie Bell, Uma Thurman, Shia LaBeouf, Willem Dafoe, Udo Kier, and Connie Nielson.
