J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi sequel, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, has perhaps been overshadowed recently by the confirmation the director is to take charge of STAR WARS: EPISODE VII. However, the big-budget blockbuster, which will see the return of the crew of the Starship Enterprise, is still much anticipated by Trekkies around the globe, helped a little by Sunday’s Super Bowl spot.
We have a host of impressive new stills from the film, once again, starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, Zoe Saldana, Bruce Greenwood and John Cho. And we Khan’t forget the ever-awesome Benedict Cumberbatch as the mysterious major villain.
STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS will venture to cinemas on the 17th May, and will co-star Alice Eve, Peter Weller and Noel Clarke.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
