Mira Nair’s nail-biting dramatic thriller, THE RELUCTANT FUNDAMENTALIST, was one of the highlights at last years British International Film Festival, and one that our very own John Sharp had much praise for in his review. The film has rising FOUR LIONS star Riz Ahmed in the lead and is based on the best-selling novel by Mohsin Hamid. It tells the story of Changez and how the 9/11 atrocity forever changed his focused individual and the path he was destined to become and follow.
The film has a strong supporting cast which includes Kate Hudson, Liev Schrieber, Kiefer Sutherland, Om Puri, Martin Donovan, and offers some fascinating, yet troubling answers to the aftermath of that shocking atrocity, which forever changed the modern world. It finally has a release date of 19th April in the UK and the 24th April in limited US cinemas, and here we have the films first poster.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
