Lily Collins & Greg Kinnear Shine In Trailer For Josh Boone’s ‘Writers’

Yeah sure, we all know the drill of a good ensemble cast and comedy-drama but I still think it takes something a little special to make it work, and this trailer for WRITERS by debut writer and director Josh Boone, gives all the right impressions.

It stars the ever-underrated Greg Kinnear and rising starlet Lily Collins as father and daughter, seemingly living through big changes in their lives but at obviously different stages. WRITERS (or STUCK IN LOVE as it’s also currently named), is definitely about sex and love, and according to this trailer – a lot of emphasis on the sex. From what we see here, it’s hopefully a good balance throughout and has gathered an impressive cast including Jennifer Connolly, Logan Lerman, and the delectable Kristen Bell. Take a look and let us know what you think:

WRITERS debuted at the Toronto Film Festival last year, and is only currently with release dates for the USA in April, and Argentina in August 2013. We shall await more news for the UK!

Writers is a little gem of an indie film which was one of the audience favorites at TIFF 2012. Don’t let the trailer fool you, there’s more to it than sex and there are a number of literary references. Dialogue is nicely done and Josh Boone shows promise as a writer-director. But what really lifts this freshman effort is the ensemble. Great acting across the board, authentic, natural particularly Logan Lerman & Lily Collins who have excellent chemistry. I recommend it. Very glad to see it has been picked up for commercial distribution
