The only time Oscar-winners Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone have appeared together (in James Mangold’s underrated 1997 thriller COPLAND), we got arguably Stallone’s finest ever performance. Fingers crossed the legendary acting duo’s boxing comedy, GRUDGE MATCH, will be worth the wait.
GET SMART and ANGER MANAGEMENT’s Peter Segal is at the helm of the film which follows a pair of aging boxing rivals, Billy “The Kid” McGuigan and Henry “Razor” Sharp, who are coaxed out of retirement to fight in one final crowd-pleaser, half a century after their last bout. Kim Basinger, Alan Arkin, Kevin Hart and Jon Bernthal round out the main supporting cast of the feature currently filming and due for release 15th November.
