Back Of The Net! First Set Pics & Footage From ‘The Alan Partridge Movie’

“Stop getting Bond wrong!”, Steve Coogan’s tragically hilarious chat show host and radio DJ, Alan Partridge, once proclaimed. He appears to be channeling the iconic super spy in the first set images from the upcoming big-screen transition, THE ALAN PARTRIDGE MOVIE. Although a tuxedo gives way to a pair of steely blue slacks, casual cream and beige jacket and brilliant-white and thin-stripped blue tennis shoes. Described the only way the great man surely would?

Coogan brings the beloved quotable character back once again, this time giving fans the opportunity to see his most famous and successful alter-ego on the silver screen. Partridge regulars Felicity Montague, Phil Cornwell, Tim Key and Simon Greenall, all reprise their brilliant roles in the forthcoming film which is directed by Declan Lowney and is released in August.

You can also check out this little video below, a news piece from BBC Norfolk, giving a little more info on the production.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
