After the gruelling, yet gripping BLUE VALENTINE, director Derek Cianfrance and man-of-the-moment, Ryan Gosling are set to take us on another emotional thrill ride with crime drama, THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES.
The film sees the acting hunk as travelling stuntman Luke, who returns to a small town and discovers he fathered a child with former lover, Eva Mendes. After not growing up with a father himself, he promises to stick around and provide for his son but soon turns to robbing banks for his boss, played by Ben Mendelsohn. Bradley Cooper co-stars as a decorated and determined cop out to expose his lifestyle but soon discovers the trail of money goes further than he ever expected.
