Adam McKay, the writer and director behind some of Hollywood most quotable comedies, is once again at the helm of another Ron Burgundy adventure with the sequel, ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES.
San Diego’s Channel 4 News Team of Burgundy (Will Ferrell), Brick (Steve Carell), Brian (Paul Rudd), Veronica (Christina Applegate) and Champ (David Koechner), all return and if you’ve been following the news updates, you’ll know Kritsten Wiig and James Marsden are also onboard. The excellent Terrence Stamp is also in negotiations for the role of a Rupert Murdoch-type media mogul.
A playful casting call from the studio is now asking:
Do you look like John C. Reilly? We’re seeking a caucasian male, 6’2, any age. THIS SHOOTS TOMORROW, FEB 28th.
We think that pretty much nails the fact Will Ferrell’s fellow STEP BROTHERS star, John C. Reilly, will appear in hilarious follow-up slated for cinemas, 20th December.
