Gary Oldman Joins ‘Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes’

Gary Oldman Dawn Of The Planet Of The ApesHe may not be the king of the swingers, but he is the king of all that is awesome in the world of acting. Gary Oldman has joined the cast of DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES as a leader of a human resistance. Now that’s what I call damn good casting. If I were going to be lead into a battle against super intelligent apes, it would take someone of Oldman’s caliber to convince me it was a good idea. The sequel, helmed by CLOVERFIELD director Matt Reeves, is set 15 years after RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.

RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES was one of the biggest surprises and simply best Blockbusters of recent years. It had immense action, tear jerking relationships, and some great characters. Adding Oldman to the sequel just cements the fact that this could be an astonishing franchise that rivals even the greatest action/science-fiction.

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is released 23rd May 2014. It stars Jason Clarke, Andy Serkis, and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
