Two New Posters For Brian Helgeland’s Baseball Biopic ’42’

Despite coming up to the ripe old age of 70, Harrison Ford shows no signs of slowing down. With significant roles in sci-fi adventure ENDERS GAME, all-star thriller PARANOIA, a STAR WARS return and the currently shooting, ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND CONTINUES, the future is still bright for Ford and his fans.

First up however, is baseball biopic 42, which the legendary actor portrays colour-breaking coach Branch Rickey, the man who spotted the great Jackie Robinson playing in the Negro Leagues and brought him to the Major League. The emotional sporting drama is written and directed by Brian Helgeland, with newcomer Chadwick Boseman as the iconic bat-swinging superstar.

Here we have another two posters from the film due in US cinemas from the 12th April, although we in the UK still await a date.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
