Daddy’s Home! Mewtwo Returns In Pokemon’s ‘Mewtwo Vs. Genesect’

I bloomin’ well love Pokemon. It’s just so darn awesome, and recently the series has been blessed with welcomed returns from the likes of Misty, Brock, and Charizard. But for anyone that loved the franchise when it first poked its head out of the ground like a Diglett, there was only one ultimate bad-ass, ultra cool Pokemon, and that was Mewtwo. Metwo first became animated in POKEMON – THE FIRST MOVIE – MEWTWO STRIKES BACK back in 1999. Well, it may have been a long 14 years (and Mewtwo did return in the aptly titled TV movie POKEMON: MEWTWO RETURNS), but Mewtwo is heading back to the big screen (in Japan at least) for the latest cinematic Pokemon outing. This will be the 16th Pokemon film in all and judging by the below trailer it’s going to be a good one. Pokemon resembling killer machines from ROBOCOP is always good, as are fire and explosions.

The film is set for a Japanese release on 13th July, and it’ll probably showed up in an edited and dubbed form on TV later in the year.
