CM Punk has held the WWE Championship for a year, the longest title reign of the modern era, but will that reign continue when he’s faced with not one, but two opponents – John Cena and the man who was robbed of becoming champion previously, Ryback, in a Triple Threat Match. Plus with it being Survivor Series, there’s a staple of the event, a Traditional Survivor Series Match pitting Team Foley vs. Team Ziggler, and more!
Survivor Series, is one of the traditional “Big 4” events (coupled with Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania and Summerslam) enriched with history, and this 2012 edition is no exception. CM Punk being the longest reigning champion of the modern era adds an extra level of importance to an already important championship match where his two opponents are a former multi-time champion (John Cena) and someone who has never been champion before (Ryback). Also the Traditional Survivor Series Match, a long time favourite of ours, is always entertaining and you never know what to expect in an elimination match with ten Superstars involved.
Survivor Series blasts on to DVD and Blu-ray from 11th March:
