Christopher Nolan’s regular collaborator Wally Pfister is making his directorial debut with the trippy sounding TRANSCENDENCE in April 2014 with Nolan set to executive produce, and after a very productive career of averaging a film every second year, you could’ve excused him from taking a small break from directing. Good news has however broken today which reveals that won’t be the case as Christopher Nolan is set to direct INTERSTELLAR for a release on 7th November 2014. The film will be co-produced between Nolan’s regular studio, Warner Bros., and Paramount Pictures.
Details about the film is still sparse, but it is based on a script by Jonathan Nolan and revolves around ‘a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding’. This could be inspired by 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY which Nolan is an admitted fan of… Personally I’m not, but as a huge fan of Nolan himself, I will be looking forward to this with much excitement.
