According to STARTREK.COM, the latest movie in the franchise, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, will be opening in the UK, Australia and Germany on May 9th, one week before the United States.
We’ve already seen some of it, and we cannae wait to see the rest of it!
JJ Abrams’ prequel-sequel will reunite the cast of 2009’s STAR TREK and pitch them against Benedict bleedin Cumberbatch, whose character’s exact identity has been a subject of hot debate. Everyone seems to have a different opinion, and none of them have really been confirmed nor denied. All we know for certain so far is, he’s bad news for Kirk and the Krew crew.
Abrams himself has said: “His name is John Harrison and he is sort of an average. That is what makes him so scary – he is just an average guy who works in an organization called Starfleet, and he turns against the group because he has got this back-story and this kind of amazing secret agenda.”
We will of course have to wait and see. It’s just that those of us in Blightey won’t have to wait quite as long.
