Cavill & Adams Look To The Skies In New ‘Man Of Steel’ Image

This summer looks as if it could top last years impressive line-up with the likes of IRON MAN 3, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS and PACIFIC RIM, unleashed on cinemagoers this time around. Well, as excited as we are about Tony Stark’s return, more from the crew of the Starship Enterprise and a monster mash-up with del Toro’s visionary brilliance, there is one title above all that has the folks at THN giddy as a toddler in Toy’R’Us…

Yes, Zack Snyder’s comic-book reboot, MAN OF STEEL, will see the Son Of Krypton take to the skies for the first time since Bryan Singer’s under-loved, SUPERMAN RETURNS (2006). Henry Cavill takes on the dual role of Earth-bound saviour Kal-El and his human alter-ego Clark Kent, with an awesome supporting cast including Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne and Michael Shannon. Amy Adams portrays lover and colleague Lois Lane and she’s pictured here alongside Cavill on the current cover of Total Film.

MAN OF STEEL is released on the 14th July and will be produced by THE DARK KNIGHT trilogy’s Christopher Nolan.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
