We’re always championing the Great British talents hoping to make their own mark in the mass cinematic universe, and today THN is lucky enough to bring you the first official poster and plot synopsis for pitch black comedy, OWN WORST EMEMY. The film is set to be directed by Philip Pugh and starring Mike Baughn as a man with a fear of the outside world, whose personal difficulties in dealing with his problems manifest themselves into taunting alter-ago, Mr P.
Brace yourself for Own Worst Enemy, a pitch black British comedy feature film telling the tale of Andy, an overly fearful man struggling to stay sane within the confines of his pokey flat as Mr. P, a figment of Andy’s imagination, taunts and ridicules him at every opportunity.
With nowhere to escape to and nowhere to hide, hindered by an irrational fear of going outside and in the midst an unconventional death, mummification, a leaky roof, one too many bad weather reports from a suspiciously nicer-than-nice weather presenter, Mr. P’s own imaginary friends, death threats, no access to the outside world and a short supply of food, Andy must remedy the situation as best he can despite being thwarted by his imaginary enemy at every turn as the line between fantasy and reality blurs beyond recognition.
Own Worst Enemy is a humorous, dark and twisted film unlike anything you will have seen before. It’s also something that we hope you’ll want to become a part of, help create, help support and enjoy and take pride in when it’s complete.
