Why, it’s no other than Tom Cruise of course. See how that title now takes on a completely different meaning? Not quite satisfied with franchises MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and JACK REACHER, Cruise may now be looking at the lead role in THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. Based on the popular show from the 1960s starring Robert Vaughan and David McCallum U.N.C.L.E. stood for The United Network Command for Law Enforcement. The series was previously in development with Steven Soderbergh as a director and George Clooney in the lead role, but those plans fell apart after Clooney underwent surgery. Guy Ritchie has since taken to the director’s chair and is looking for a star. Could Cruise be that man? He is already mightily busy, with roles in the upcoming OBLIVION and ALL YOU NEED IS KILL.
