Even though the film would have been fine with Dwayne Johnson being awesome for a couple of hours, you still need a bit of variety in there. It was revealed that Rufus Sewell will be joining him in MGM’s HERCULES. He will playing Autolycus, but it is currently unclear as to if his role will be like the Autolycus in Greek Mythology, or rather a more fictionalised version.
HERCULES: THE THRACIAN WARS will see Dwayne Johnson playing the title role. The script is written by Ryan Condal, with rewrites provided by Evan Spiliotopoulos. Brett Ratner will be directing, the film being his project following 2011’s TOWER HEIST.
The film is expected to be released July 25, 2014
