THE WOLVERINE director James Mangold has tweeted what he calls a six second ‘tweazer’ from the upcoming full trailer for Hugh Jackman’s return as adamintium-clawed mutant, Logan. The footage also looks to include Famke Janssen as Jean Grey. Mangold has also confirmed he will give us a sneak peek with a 20 second teaser for the actioner tomorrow before the full trailer debuts on Wednesday.

This time the action-adventure takes Wolverine to modern day Japan, who is out of his depth in an unknown world. He comes up against a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed.

This follows hot-on-the-heels of this mornings poster double and eight new stills. The film will hit 3D and 2D theaters on July 26, the anticipated film co-stars Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.

I’m adamant that we say adamantium…

So, modern day Japan, as in now? This means the action takes place after X3. I was wondering if they would one day stop screwing with the X-Men timeline. Considering that Logan’s Japan adventures originally occured before he joined the team, it seems like I have my answer…
