Dwayne Johnson Talks ‘Fast And Furious’ Plus ‘Star Wars’?!

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is a clever fella isn’t it? With the film world going absolutely nuts over the news of STAR WARS: EPISODE VII going into production, he is making sure to put his name out there for consideration. Get him in there J.J., we couldn’t think of anything better than The Rock with a lightsaber. Speaking about a franchise he would like to star in, he said:

“Star Wars, and that’s not to say that they need it. Obviously they’re doing very well. J.J. [Abrams] is just gonna crush it. I’m so excited. There’s a guy, by the way, who’s not just a brilliant director, but who honors and respects mythology. You’ve seen that with ‘Star Trek’ and you’re going to see that with ‘Star Wars.’ I’m very excited about that.”

But he finally spoke about a franchise he has already been in, FAST AND FURIOUS. He reprises his role as Luke Hobbs in FAST AND FURIOUS 6 and word in cyber land suggests that Luke Hobbs might even get his own spin-off.

“That’s a character that people have really enjoyed seeing, I think it could work. I think though, too, we need to wait and see how ‘Fast Six’ does. It looks as though a lot of people are going to like it. I was excited to make it.”

Do you think that could work?

I think the Rock would be good in a Star Wars film and with the Fast & Furious franchise he is showing that he does not have be in a film where he is not headlining it.

We don’t need a guy who can act like my left shoe in Star Wars.
