Matthew Vaughan Settles On Mark Millar’s ‘The Secret Service’

The Secret Service Matthew Vaughan Mark MillarMatthew Vaughan was getting quite the reputation for NOT directing certain projects. He left KICK-ASS 2 to do X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, which he also left. After that, rumours circulated about his possible involvement with STAR WARS EPISODE VII, and since J.J. Abrams was confirmed as the director for that little movie, Matthew Vaughan has been looking for something. He has now settled on an adaptation of Mark Millar’s graphic novel, THE SECRET SERVICE. Vaughan and writing partner Jane Goldman, began developing the project after Vaughan’s success with another Millar property, KICK-ASS, back in 2011. Fox have acquired the worldwide distribution for the film, which will follow a secret service agent training a young protege.
