We hope you enjoyed your Easter weekend, and to brighten things up just a little bit more, here are 6 new characetr posters for Baz Luhrman’s adaptation of THE GREAT GATSBY. Based on the book of the same name written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, THE GREAT GATSBY is set in the 1920s and sees a young man become intrigued by the lavish lifestyle of his millionair neighbour. The trailer caused some controversy upon its release, as it mixed the period drama with a modern soundtrack. This shouldn’t have come as a surprise really, as it is from Luhrman, who gave us WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE’S ROMEO + JULIET (1996) and MOULIN ROUGE (2001). The film will also be in 3D, again, a strange choice considering the fact that 3D is usually reserved for action/fantastical features. It will certainly be an interesting watch and the cast, as featured below, is nothing but impressive.
THE GREAT GATSBY is released 10th May in the US and 17th May in the UK. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey maguire, Carey Mulligan, Elizabeth Debicki, Isla Fisher, and Joel Edgerton.
