At the end of last week we reported that Matthew McConaughey was the top pick for Christopher Nolan’s post-Batman feature film, INTERSTELLAR. McConaughey has now gone on to confirm his involvement in the film when speaking to Star Tribune. When asked about the project McConaughey simply stated:
I’m confirming.
This is great news if you ask me. McCOnaughey is on a career high at the moment, following roles in BERNIE, KILLER JOE, and MAGIC MIKE. It is also encouraging that Nolan has recognised McConaughey’s talent as much more than just a romantic lead. The film is based on a screenplay by Chris Nolan’s brother, Jonathan Nolan, but other than that details are being kept tight. We can assume it will be a science-fiction epic, and rumours suggest it will involve parallel universes and time-travel.
