Writer and Director Edgar Wright, known for the likes of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ, as teased via his Twitter account, that he has directed one shot in an upcoming blockbuster. BUT WHICH ONE???? This has, of course, got the rumour mill working overtime as fans speculate what it could possibly be.
The most popular theory is that it will be a shot of ANT-MAN in IRON MAN 3, as Wright is signed on to direct the 2015 feature, which will start Marvel’s Phase 3. However, it may not be footage of ANT-MAN and perhaps he was just visiting a set one day and helmed a single shot. Perhaps he was popping in on good friend Simon Pegg on the set of STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS.
The former is obviously more exciting, as many believe ANT-MAN should have been included in THE AVENGERS considering he was one of the founding members in the comics. I’m not a fan of Wright, but I do think he is the perfect choice for ANT-MAN, a character who will need a little humour to be taken seriously. Wright confirmed that some of the fan guesses on Twitter were correct, but he didn’t state which ones. The tease.
