Hammer & Depp Land Character Posters For ‘The Lone Ranger’

Despite a notoriously trouble shoot and budgetary disagreements (supposedly $250 million!), Walt Disney Pictures still has high hopes for their big-screen reboot of classic western icon, THE LONE RANGER. Many see the ‘western’ as a dying genre but I can watch cowboys and indians go at it all day in the Wild West. Armie Hammer takes the mythic-like title role as John Reid, a lawman brought back from the edge of death by mysterious Native American, Tonto, played by superstar Johnny Depp, who helps transform him into the heroic masked vigilante.

The film co-stars William Fichtner, Tom Wilkinson, Helena Bonham Carter and THN fave Barry Pepper, and is directed by PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN’s Gore Verbinski.
