Walt Disney Pictures recently launched new character posters for their upcoming western adventure THE LONE RANGER, which originated in a 1930s radio serial before moving to the small screen. Rising talent Armie Hammer and superstar Johnny Depp each featured on promo material as John Reid and Native American sidekick Tonto, who helps transform the lawman into the heroic masked vigilante title character.
The film, directed by PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN’s Gore Verbinski and co-produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, co-stars William Fichtner, Tom Wilkinson, Barry Pepper, and Helena Bonham Carter, who appears in her very own poster as Red Harrington. It’s released in the US on the 3rd July and the UK on the 9th August. Also Check out the new television spot below.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
