It’s Life Or Death In Epic New Japanese Poster For ‘The Wolverine’

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I felt rather underwhelmed by the first trailer for Hugh Jackman’s return as THE WOLVERINE. The sequel sees the angry, adamantium-clawed mutant travel to modern day Tokyo, Japan to train with a mythic-like Samurai warrior, but finds himself out of his depth in an unknown world. There he faces his ultimate nemesis from the past in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. It certainly can’t be any worse than Gavin Hood’s woefully shocking X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE, could it?

COPLAND and WALK THE LINE director James Mangold is at the helm for the film co-starring Brain Tee, Famke Janssen, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Rila Fukushima and Hiroyuki Sanada. It’s released in cinemas from the 26th July. Check out the new Japanese poster!

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
