Big Willie Smith is uniting with his son Jaden once again for the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan movie AFTER EARTH, which is all set to hit cinemas later this summer. It sees Smith and Smith battling aliens, stranded on an alien planet (Earth) , 1000 years after humanity departed. The film hits US cinemas on June 7, and the UK on the same date.
The Smith duo’s last outing, THE PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS was relatively fine, but this is a huge, huge movie compared to that… and its directed by one M. Night Shyamalan, who has been more hit than miss of late.

A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.
