Another day, another remake. Universal Pictures and Silver Pictures will collaborate on a remake of John Hughes’ raunchy 1985 cult, sci-fi comedy, WEIRD SCIENCE. Hughes wrote and directed the classic which starred Brat Pack regular Anthony Michael Hall, who’s high-school nerd Gary and equally clever pal Wyatt (Ilan Mitchell-Smith) create the woman of their dreams on a computer, only to find she’s a whole lot more than a fantasy goddess when ingeniously brought to life. The film also starred British supermodel Kelly LeBrock as the stunning fantasy girl.
21 JUMP STREET screenwriter Michael Bacall is the man hired to bring us a new take on the comically twisted Frankenstein-inspired story. The project is still in the early stages but we’ll bring you news on potential casting and directing talents in the coming weeks and months.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
