BRIDESMAIDS and THE IT CROWD star Chris O’Dowd is set to feature alongside HBO’s GIRLS favourite Adam Driver for THE COWARD.
To be directed by Max Winkler and adapted from the play by Nick Jones, THE COWARD is set in 18th century England, where Driver plays the son of a wealthy nobleman. Driver is the only son left after his six brothers are killed in vicious duels, so to avoid a violent death he hires a street criminal (O’Dowd) to fight for him. However, things turn sour when his doppelganger tries to assassinate him and take his place in society – with the father’s permission!
Any GIRLS fans will notice that the two have previously worked together throughout seasons one and two. Both are hilarious by themselves, so it’ll be brilliant to see them work together again. Although I’ve seen O’Dowd in various roles, I’ve only seen Adam playing Lena Dunham’s on-off boyfriend. Hopefully he’s as great in THE COWARD as he is in the comedy drama series.
