It would make sense to bring SCREAM to TV screens following creator Kevin Williamson’s success of THE FOLLOWING, which has just had its first season finale play across the globe. Williamson, as far as I can see, is not involved in the planned TV series, but it has been rumoured that series helmer Wes Craven was set to direct the pilot for the thing.
Overnight, the legendary horror director took to Twitter to discuss said rumours.
“A lot of you have asked about the Scream TV series,” he said. “It’s true I’ve been approached. My response was, it would depend on the script. If they have a great script/concept, it could be fun. If not, not.”
The show is being set up at MTV. Quite like the idea of Craven taking to the small screen with it, after all, let’s face it, I think the movie franchise has run its course. Agree?
