Unless you’ve been hiding in the Winchester since 2004, then you’ll know that THE WORLD’S END is a form of conclusion for the now cult-legendary Cornetto Trilogy. It comes from the makers of SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ and they are: Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick J Frost. These endlessly entwined souls have battled through the Zombie genre, then onto all-action cop shoot-outs and now they’re on a pub crawl to the end of the world…in a sense…here’s that official synopsis and scroll down for the epic new poster!
In The World’s End, 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realise the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.
This poster has things that look like people with glowing eyes and an interesting little red cross on Pegg’s forehead, leading everyone to want that obvious line but first, take a look for yourself:
