While very little is known of the plot bar massive bloody robots battling each other and sure to give us headaches, Paramount Pictures have confirmed British stunner Sophia Myles will appear as a scientist in a major supporting role in Michael Bay’s action sequel TRANSFORMERS 4. She’ll join the already confirmed Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Jack Raylor, Nicola Peltz and most recently, Kelsey Grammer. There is word also suggesting Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson will also appear in some capacity.

It’s expected the film will undergo a reboot of sorts with the camera sure to be shoved up the skirts of the two new beauties. Focusing on new characters and  “a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists [who] attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control—all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs.”

Myles is best known for roles in UNDERWORLD, THUNDERBIRDS and BBC’s SPOOKS. The film is slated for cinemas 27th June 2014.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
