James Franco may want to consider a title change for his directorial attempt AS I LAY DYING, after the lead singer of the band of the same name was arrested for hiring an ex-policeman to kill his wife. But then, all publicity is good publicity, and it just so happens that a poster has surfaced. The poster sees a coffin atop the waves, and all I can say is that it’s such a nice change to see a poster that isn’t just big Photoshopped faces. The film is based on the book by William Faulkner and charts the story of the Bundren family and their attempts to bury Addie Bundren in the town of Jefferson.
AS I LAY DYING is yet to receive a release date, but it will be shown at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. It stars James Franco, Tim Blake Nelson, and Danny McBride.
