Earlier this week we got our first formal introduction to one of the many human characters being dwarfed by robots and monsters in teh upcoming buster of blocks, PACIFIC RIM. Now it’s the turn of PPDC Marshal Stacker Pentecost, as played by Idris Elba. We should pay extra respect to this guy considering he’s the one who yells the immortal line (that would sound wussy if you said it) “TODAY! WE ARE CANCELING THE APOCALYPSE”. I have no idea what PPDC stands for, but I bet it’s important.
And for anyone wishing they were a huge robot or a giant monster, you may very well get your wish, with images from the brand new PACIFIC RIM video game. No details yet on which consoles it will appear on, but there is a brand new spanking website www.pacificrimgame.com
PACIFIC RIM is released 12th July 2013. It stars Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi and Charlie Day.
