New Featurettes & Clips For Abrams’ ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’

J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi sequel, STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, finally arrived in the UK today, while the American fans have a little longer to wait. The majority of reviews are sadly of the opinion that the film is “just okay”, and not in the same class as the 2009 franchise reboot (although our ver own Emma has been a little kinder in her review). The original film that didn’t impress me as much as most, then again, I’m more a STAR WARS fan that a Trekkie. All eyes will now be Abrams’ as he turns to the ‘dark side’ to tackle Disney and LucasFilm’s EPISDODE VII.

Meanwhile, why not check out these featurettes and clips from the futuristic epic reuniting the crew of the Starship Enterprise as they come up against rogue Federation spy John Harrison, played by brilliant British thespian Benedict Cumberbatch.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
