Simplistic New Logo Unveiled For 20th Century Fox

Coming from the News Corp’s iconic CEO Rupert Murdoch, we have the entertainment division’s new logo, as the media corporation will soon split into two separate companies later this year. News Corp. will consist of publishing and newspaper properties, while the legendary spotlight-style  “21st Century Fox” will lead with the entertainment and broadcast operations. Pretty much as it has been all these years, so we can’t see what all the fuss is about. Still, here is new design that will appear on poster artwork, DVD/Blu-ray sleeves, television programmes and movies.

In an open letter to his employees, Murdoch added:

“Today, I am proud to unveil our new logo, which serves as a powerful symbol of the inspiration and high bar set by our company. Like our name, the logo reflects the rich creative heritage of Twentieth Century Fox and signals the promise of the 21st century and our restless drive toward the future.”

“Ultimately, our new logo celebrates the powerful commitment of you and your colleagues to the excellence and innovation that will propel 21st Century Fox forward.”

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
