Ryan Murphy loves his Oscar-nominated actresses doesn’t he? He tweeted over the weekend to reveal that Angela Bassett, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role of Tina Turner in WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT, and Broadway legend Patti LuPone will be joining the third season of AMERICAN HORROR STORY. They join recently announced cast members Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates, while some cast members from the two previous seasons will be returning.
The arc of this season has the titled Coven, but not much has been revealed about the plot. Creator Ryan Murphy did tease some details on Kathy Bates character, saying the character will be “five times worse than her character in MISERY“, which sounds pretty awesome. Frances Conroy, who has been a main cast member in the AMERICAN HORROR STORY series did only reveal that the show will be filmed in New Orleans.
Are you excited for the new installment of AMERICAN HORROR STORY?

I can’t wait to see American Horror Story: Coven, especially since it will include Angela Bassett, Patti LuPone, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates. I’m also excited to hear its being filmed in New Orleans. I won’t be missing this even though I’ll be on the way home from work at DISH when it’s on. I’ll be watching on my iPad with the DISH Anywhere app, during my train ride. This way, I don’t have to be at home in order to watch live and recorded shows.
