DIVERGENT might not be out for a while yet, but the social media team are teasing us good and proper revealing the symbols for the five factions this week. The original Dauntless symbol was a much more simpler design, but it has been given the movie treatment, a slicker black and white design with the quote:
“We believe in freedom from fear, in ordinary acts of bravery, in defending those who cannot defend themselves.”
If we’ve now lost you, ‘Dauntless’ is one of five faction’s represented in the novel by Veronica Roth. DIVERGENT is a story set in a futuristic dystopia, where a teenager seeks to break free from her homogeneous society that divides people based on human traits. It stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, who were recently announced as leads in the movie adaptation of another YA novel, THE FAULT IN OUR STARS.
