It’s every book lover’s nightmare right? Wondering what’s been added or what’s been taken out…Well, you’ll be happy to know that if you are a fan of CATCHING FIRE, that not much has been changed. Phew!
Director Francis Lawrence said that ‘very little‘ has been taken out of the original story. He also added that there will be additional scenes added, like the scenes between Plutarch (Phillip Seymour Hoffman) and President Snow (Donald Sutherland) that were present during the trailer. Sam Claflin, who will be making his first appearance in THE HUNGER GAMES series as fan favourite Finnick Odair, spoke about the changes, saying:
“There are things that are slighty fabricated only to create a more dramatic moment.”
But the big question was: what was Claflin’s favourite scene to film?
“It would have to be giving Josh Hutcherson CPR. My mouth touching his was a beautiful moment, and it’ll live with me for the rest of my life. We’re meant to be together.”
