After bringing us the horror and violence of SAW, DEAD SILENCE, DEATH SENTENCE and INSIDIOUS, director James Wan will soon set out on the FAST & FURIOUS roads and a change of pace with the seventh adventure of the action franchise. However, Wan will first attempt to scare the hell out of us again with the fact-based spook story, THE CONJURING.
The film centres on the real-life paranormal investigative husband and wife team Ed and Lorraine Warren’s most notorious case. The couple made a living supposedly ridding the homes of ghouls and ghosts during the 1970s and 1980s. This particular tale sees them visiting a Rhode Island farmhouse that appears to have unwanted guests hanging about (literally).
Not that I believe any of the occurrences but I do love good fright flick and the trailers and posters for this one have been very effective. This latest one-sheet certainly sending the shivers down the spine, while strong word of mouth at festival screenings has made it much-anticipated amongst fear fans!
THE CONJURING stars Ron Livingston, Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Lili Taylor and will haunt US cinemas from 19th July and the UK 2nd August.
