THN are excited to bring you the news that Secret Cinema, the pioneers of Live Cinema, will bring to life Laura Marling’s latest album for 8 nights in a secret location in London and it’s due to feature a full live performance by Laura. They’ve pioneered the immersive cinema experience and so now they’ve taking on live music to create an immersive music adventure where the album is brought to life across entire buildings. This is the beginning of their Secret Music concept that will launch at the end of 2013.
Secret Cinema is now very excited to be working with Laura Marling and her new album Once I Was An Eagle in a layered and sensory experience at a secret East London location, from June 13th until June 21st.
For Laura’s part this marks the culmination of a series of ‘Experiments’ she has conducted over the last couple of years, including at the PS1 Art Space in New York, at the Glastonbury Festival and at 1 Marylebone for the launch of her album A Creature I Don’t Know where she plucked individuals and pairs from the audience and played songs just for them.
Secret Cinema brings films to life. For the first time, inspired by Laura Marling’s music, her live performance and the short film When Brave Bird Saved, Secret Cinema will bring a music artist’s work to life in the same way with dancers, artists, actors, and an incredible secret location, with a full live performance by Laura Marling. Secret Cinema have worked on music projects in the past with, amongst others, Radiohead, Atoms For Peace,The Knife and Guillemots.
