‘Ain’t Them Bodies Saints’ Trailer Revealed

Yesterday we brought you the brand new poster for David Lowery’s AIN’T THEM BODIES SAINTS that had us very excited here at THN.  Well, they’ve only gone and released a trailer now too! Once again highlighting the gorgeous camera work that has been winning over critics at film festivals from Sundance to Cannes, the trailer gives us a bit more detail about the events leading up to Casey Affleck’s character finding himself on the wrong side of the law. Turns out he is protecting his wife, played by Rooney Mara, and heads off for a stint in jail promising to return to her.

The trailer also gives a more detailed insight into the character played by Ben Foster; looks like he’s going to be doing his best to keep Mara and Affleck’s characters apart in the long run with police goodness. Meaningful glances,  longing embraces and a haunting score that underpins a story that seems to be hurtling towards a tragic conclusion the trailer delivers all we were hoping for.

Still no word on a UK release date but, as ever, when we know you’ll know!
